Don't u think that computer terminology in BM (or is that Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia? ) is really weird?
- Cakera keras = Hard disk - sounds like an Olympics event 2 me.
- Tetikus = Mouse - Wonder what a big mouse would be called - Memondok?
- Papan Kekunci = Keyboard - sound like a wooden case where Pak Guard keeps the keys 2 the school classrooms..Yeah..one big papan with a whole lot of kunci!..
- CD-ROM = Cakera Padat Ingatan Melalui Pembacaan (CP-IMP) - isn't that bit too much 2 ingat?? Try pronouncing that without twisting ur tounge or pausing2 think. IMPs?
- Monitor = What's the term of this? KETUA DARJAH???
- Motherboard = "Papan Ibu" probably? Maybe the best motherboards can be awarded the 'Papan Ibu Mithali" then?!..
- Sound Card = Kad bunyi?!..
- Sound Bluster = Peletup Bunyi?!..
- Pipeline Burst Cache = Duit Garisan Paip Meletup???..
- Local Bus = Bas Tempatan? Sounds good 2 me..!
- VESA local Bus = Bas Tempatan VESA???
- World WIDE WEB = Sarang labah-labah Selebar Dunia (SSD)???...Sounds quite convicing, well..2 me..
Then what would u call daughterboards?Papan anak perempuan? That sounds a little kinky 4 me..What about SIMMs n DIMMs n such..?
